# Run creator and affiliate partner programs
Use this when the portfolio includes creators, affiliates, or publishers
rather than business-to-business tiers. Start from the roster, the
current compensation (tiers, commissions, bonuses, loyalty), traffic and
conversion data, the brand-safety rules, and the platform in play.
## Set the compensation architecture
Tiers with earn bars, commission rates, bonus triggers, and loyalty
perks. The middle tier has to be reachable by most active creators, or
the bar is too high.
Every payout rule names the data source it reads.
## Run vetting and brand safety
Entry checks per creator: audience fit, content review, and fraud signals
— brand bidding, typosquat domains, cookie stuffing, self-referral,
sub-affiliate layering. Then ongoing monitoring flags and a dated removal
bar.
Program terms ban each vector before the creator activates: a
brand-bidding ban, coupon and code rules, a self-referral ban, disclosure
requirements, a cookie-stuffing ban, and clawback.
A flagged creator pauses payouts first. Removal needs the owner's yes.
## Run yield operations
Track cost per click, fill, click-through rate, and effective cost per
thousand impressions per creator and per placement, plus tag and API
health checks.
The attribution spine: last affiliate click wins; a 30-day cookie that is
overwritten, not extended; a payout lock at least as long as the refund
window; and coupon share held under about 25 percent — as a rule of
thumb, over 40 percent means the program is cannibalising rather than
acquiring.
An underperformer gets one dated improvement window before any tier
action.
## Read program health monthly
Active creators, revenue per creator, payout ratio, fraud and safety
flags, and the top, mover, and faller lists. A trend names its window
before its number.
## What you hand back
The compensation sheet, the vetting and safety log, the yield read, and
the monthly health report.
## Fallbacks
No platform data means running from owner-pasted exports marked with
their date, with feed setup as the first action. No safety rules means
drafting a starter set and confirming it with the owner.
No compensation change, payout, or creator removal goes out without your
explicit yes.
