Works end-to-end on chatuikit-compose-android:6.0.0 (validated 2026-05-12 against web peer) — but only with FIVE non-obvious workarounds the kit itself doesn't ship — (1) explicit calls-sdk-android:5.0.+ peer dep, (2) annotations-java5 exclude, (3) stub classes for legacy com.cometchat.calls.{CometChatRTCView, model.RTCUser, model.RTCReceiver, model.RTCCallback} to satisfy chat-sdk's CallManager bytecode, (4) AVOID CometChatCallButtons (broken — captures first-rendered user globally; ignores per-row prop) — instead wire your own button to CometChat.initiateCall then CometChatCallActivity.Companion.launchOutgoingCallScreen(context, call, null), (5) Call constructor arg order CHANGED in chat-sdk 5.x — (receiverUid, receiverType, type) not (receiverUid, type, receiverType). Covers UIKitSettings calling configuration, surface-aware Compose+Views routing, foreground service correctness on Android 14+, ConnectionService + FCM VoIP push.

cometchat-angular-calls

CometChat Calls integration for Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5). Covers enabling calling via UIKitSettingsBuilder().setCallingEnabled(true), the kit's standalone call components (<cometchat-call-buttons>, <cometchat-incoming-call>, <cometchat-outgoing-call>, <cometchat-ongoing-call>, <cometchat-call-logs>), the @Input-callback-vs-@Output binding split, app-wide incoming-call mounting, the @cometchat/calls-sdk-javascript@^5 peer dep, NgZone correctness, getUserMedia handling, and additive-vs-standalone modes.

cometchat-angular-components

Component catalog for the CometChat Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) — standalone <cometchat-*> selectors, verified @Input bindings, @Output events, @Input callback props, and template slot views. Always loaded before writing any <cometchat-*> HTML. Never invent selectors or bindings — look them up here.

cometchat-angular-core

Foundational rules for CometChat Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) — standalone-component setup, UIKitSettingsBuilder init, Promise-based login (bare uid string), loggedInUser$ observable, environment config, CSS-variable theming, and the anti-patterns that break real Angular apps. Read this first.

cometchat-angular-customization

Customize the CometChat Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) without forking — four-tier model: Angular @Input slot views → request builders → text formatters + message-action options + per-type bubble views → event bus. Standalone components, ng-template slots, no NgModule, no DataSource.

cometchat-angular-features

Feature catalog for CometChat Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) — how to enable/configure calls, reactions, mentions, AI (smart replies / conversation starter / summary), polls, stickers, collaborative doc/whiteboard, message translation, link preview. Five-bucket taxonomy: auto-enabled / component-prop / dashboard-extension / AI-with-OpenAI-key / package-install (calls). Verified @Input names against the v5 .d.ts.

cometchat-angular-patterns

Angular-specific integration patterns for CometChat UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) — standalone bootstrap with main.ts init-before-bootstrap, functional route guards (CanActivateFn), lazy standalone routes (loadComponent), NgZone correctness for SDK callbacks, OnPush change detection, and SSR/Angular-Universal considerations.

cometchat-angular-placement

Where to put chat in an Angular UI Kit v5 app — Route-based, Sidebar, Modal/Dialog, Tab-based, and Embedded placements. Each maps to standalone-component composition (no composites, no NgModule) with Angular Router / Material wiring.

cometchat-angular-production

Production-readiness for CometChat Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) — server-minted auth tokens via CometChatUIKit.loginWithAuthToken(authToken), user management CRUD, environment.prod.ts hardening (no authKey, no REST API Key), external-backend recipes (Express / Hono / Firebase Functions / Vercel), and the security checklist. Angular ships src/ to the client, so the REST API Key is always server-only.

cometchat-angular-push

Push notifications for CometChat Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) — web push via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) + the CometChat Notifications API. Covers dashboard FCM provider setup, the firebase-messaging-sw.js service worker, Notification permission, getting the FCM token, registering it with CometChatNotifications.registerPushToken + PushPlatforms.FCM_WEB AFTER login, an Angular PushService, environment config, foreground vs background handling, click-through routing, and logout cleanup.

cometchat-angular-testing

Testing patterns for CometChat Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) in Angular 17–21 projects. Covers Jasmine/Karma (default) and Jest, Angular TestBed for STANDALONE components (imports[] not declarations[]), mocking the static CometChatUIKit kit API (init/login/getLoggedInUser/getLoggedinUser/loginWithAuthToken/logout) and the loggedInUser$ observable, fakeAsync/tick for Promise-based login, stubbing the kit's standalone <cometchat-*> components, Playwright/Cypress e2e, and CI. Mirrors cometchat-react-testing for the mocking philosophy.

cometchat-angular-theming

CSS-variable theming for the CometChat Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) — the --cometchat-* token reference, brand color overrides, light/dark mode via CometChatUIKit.themeMode and the kit's ThemeService, global styles.css placement, and the ::ng-deep / ViewEncapsulation.None nuance Angular needs. NO theme service palette API (that was v4).

cometchat-angular-troubleshooting

Diagnose CometChat Angular UI Kit v5 (@cometchat/chat-uikit-angular@5) integration failures — peer-dep / Angular-version mismatch, standalone-import 'is not a known element', init-before-render race, assets config, height/layout, NgZone change-detection, CSS-variable theming, SSR 'window is not defined', and production auth-token errors.

cometchat-calls

Entry-point for adding CometChat Voice & Video Calling to any React, React Native, Angular, native Android, native iOS, or Flutter project. Detects the framework, picks standalone (calls-only) vs additive (calls on top of existing chat) mode, and routes to the per-family calls skill. Invoked by the top-level `cometchat` dispatcher when `product === "voice-video"` or `chat-messaging+voice-video`, and directly when the user asks for calls explicitly.

cometchat-components

Complete catalog of CometChat React UI Kit v6 components. Reference before writing integration code -- never invent component names.

cometchat-core

Shared rules for CometChat React UI Kit v6. Always loaded alongside framework + placement skills. Read this first.

Picks up where the framework skills end (after Phase A init succeeds).

cometchat-features

Add features (calls, reactions, polls, file sharing, presence, etc.) to an already-integrated CometChat project. Routes to the right sub-flow based on feature type — default (already enabled), extension (API toggle), ai-feature (API toggle + OpenAI key), dashboard-only (third-party config), package-install (calls), or component-swap (rich text).

cometchat-flutter-v6-calls

CometChat Calls integration for Flutter UIKit v6 (Bloc-based, stable). Production-ready at v6.0.1 GA (validated 2026-05-27 on Pixel 3) with ONE explicit MaterialApp wiring requirement still active from v6.0.0-beta2 — MaterialApp MUST wire navigatorKey to CallNavigationContext.navigatorKey or the outgoing-call screen never renders. (Vendor's own 6.0.1 sample is missing this line and broken out-of-the-box — file a vendor ticket if you find that sample first.) The earlier outgoing-to-in-call BLoC transition bug from beta2 is FIXED in 6.0.1 GA per the v6.0.0 changelog's 'Refreshed BLoC implementations across ongoing call flows' entry. Customers can now use V6 for calls. Covers UIKitSettings calling block, CometChatUIKitCalls.init() after CometChatUIKit.init() (CALLS_INIT_AFTER_CHAT_INIT), the kit's Bloc-driven CometChatCallButtons / CometChatIncomingCall / CometChatOutgoingCall / CometChatOngoingCall / CometChatCallLogs / CometChatCallBubble widgets, CallingConfiguration, CallOperationsServiceLocator lifecycle, VoIP push via external packages (FCM + PushKit + flutter_callkit_incoming — there is NO bundled native_call_kit module in the kit), and additive-vs-standalone modes.
