--- name: social-media-content-repurposer description: Convert content between platforms (blog to Twitter thread, article to LinkedIn post, etc.). Optimize for each platform's format, tone, and best practices. Use when user wants to adapt content for different social media platforms. --- # Social Media Content Repurposer Transform content across platforms with platform-specific optimization. ## When to Use This Skill Activate when the user: - Asks to "turn this into a Twitter thread" - Wants to adapt content for different platforms - Needs to create multiple social posts from one source - Says "repurpose this blog post" - Wants platform-specific content variations - Mentions LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok - Needs hashtag suggestions ## Instructions 1. **Analyze Source Content** - Identify main message and key points - Extract 3-5 core takeaways - Note tone and style - Identify target audience - Find quotable moments - Extract statistics or data points 2. **Optimize for Twitter/X** - Break into thread (1 hook tweet + 5-10 follow-ups) - Keep tweets under 280 characters - Use thread numbers (1/10, 2/10, etc.) - Create strong hook for first tweet - Add strategic line breaks for readability - Include relevant hashtags (2-3 max) - End with call-to-action - Consider adding engagement prompts 3. **Optimize for LinkedIn** - Professional tone - 1300-1700 characters (ideal) - Start with hook question or bold statement - Use line breaks and emojis strategically - Include industry-relevant hashtags (3-5) - Add storytelling elements - End with discussion prompt - Format for mobile viewing 4. **Optimize for Instagram** - Concise caption (125-150 words ideal) - First line must hook (before "...more") - Use line breaks and emojis - Include 10-20 relevant hashtags - Add call-to-action - Suggest visual concepts (for carousel/image) - Consider Instagram Stories format 5. **Optimize for Facebook** - Conversational tone - Optimal length: 40-80 characters (or 200+ for depth) - Ask questions to drive engagement - Use native features (polls, etc.) - Minimal hashtags (1-2) - Encourage comments 6. **Optimize for TikTok (if applicable)** - Hook in first 3 seconds - Short, punchy script (30-60 seconds) - Include trending audio suggestions - Add on-screen text concepts - Hashtag strategy (3-5 relevant tags) ## Output Format ```markdown # Content Repurposing: [Original Title] ## Source Summary **Original Format**: [Blog post/Article/Video] **Key Message**: [One sentence] **Target Audience**: [Description] --- ## Twitter/X Thread (10 tweets) **Tweet 1/10** (Hook) [Attention-grabbing opening tweet] **Tweet 2/10** [First key point] **Tweet 3/10** [Second key point] [Continue through full thread...] **Tweet 10/10** [Summary and CTA] --- ## LinkedIn Post [Hook paragraph with strong opening] [Main content with strategic line breaks] Key takeaways: • [Point 1] • [Point 2] • [Point 3] [Closing thought or question] **Hashtags**: #Industry #Topic #Relevant --- ## Instagram Caption [Strong hook line] [Concise main message - Maintain core message across platforms (don't distort) - Adapt tone for each platform's culture - Use platform-specific features (threads, line breaks, etc.) - Include strong hooks for every version - Optimize for mobile viewing - Add strategic emojis (but don't overdo it) - Research current hashtag performance - Include clear calls-to-action - Consider character limits and optimal lengths - Make first sentence count (especially Instagram) - Use data and statistics to add credibility - Add line breaks for scannability - End with engagement prompts - Suggest visual content concepts - Provide posting time recommendations - Note A/B testing opportunities
